Kaavya Pathirana

“Emerge is the peak of a mountain where the view is promising.”

Kaavya was born in South Africa and moved to Sri Lanka in her early years. She has always been inspired to join the field of Relief Working as an activist and column writer. She has been an active participant of Model United Nations conferences locally and in India, where she was able to learn about and contribute into making resolutions within the International Court of Justice and the Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Rights committees. In the past she worked for The British Council Library in the capacity of a Customer Services Officer where she was able to organize various themed projects for children and teenagers. She has also participated in many Child Protection workshops. She is a poet during her free time and she is currently majoring in a degree program for Professional English at the Open University, Nawala.
